Biography

Eden Grinshpan’s foray into the culinary arts began at Le Cordon Bleu in London, where she received a "Grande Diplome" in both Pastry and Culinary Arts. Following graduation, Grinshpan set her sights on traveling the world, spending several months backpacking through Southeast Asia an India- where she revived an out-of-service cafe to support a local orphanage. She then reconnected with her family roots by settling in Tel-Aviv for a brief period, where she crafted desserts for a local restaurant.

Grinshpan returned to the states and enrolled in ICE’s Culinary Management Program. After graduating in 2008 she headed back to the kitchen with a stint at New York City bakery, Babycakes. It was during this time that Grinshpan started to solidify the vision she had for the travel cooking show that would eventually be picked up by The Cooking Channel and become Eden Eats. This also inspired the creation of Grinshpan's production company,  EthNicitY Productions

From that initial exposure, Grinshpan's place in the world of food media continued to expand, with a food television career that would include Log on and Eat (also for The Cooking Channel), Top Chef: Canada (Bravo) and VH1's "Big Morning Buzz Live" with co-host Nick Lachey. She has also been a judge on Sugar Showdown and Donut Showdown for the Cooking Channel, Chopped Canada for the Food Network and a guest co-host of VH1 Big Morning Buzz live with Nick Lachey.

In 2014, Grinshpan was selected for the elite Forbes' “30 under 30” list in the Food & Wine Industry and in 2018 partnered with By CHLOE founder, Samantha Wasser to open Middle Eastern fast-casual spot, Dez. 2020 saw the publication of her first cookbook, Eating Outloud.

Grinshpan currently hosts Top Chef: Canada, and recently published her second cookbook, Tahini Baby.
